ime Tunnel – Wallringtunnel Hamburg – 2007-09-15
Trip to Time Tunnel was easy, the location is in the city of Hamburg just a few meters from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). A friend fetched me there by car and it was really easy to find a free parking space. The location Wallringtunnel is a 900m long street Tunnel under the central station wich was closed for traffic for this event. Next to the entrance you could see over Hamburgs famous river Alster, it´s more looking like a lake than a river and has a big fountain inside an a lot of impressive buildings around. We arrived at about 22:30 the line at the entrance was long but not as long as the year before. The way from entrance to the stage was a long walk, there was a wardrobe a small food shop and a merchandise shop and a bar next to it. D-Jean-D and Apollo were playing trance music at that moment, sound system was okay but i have heard better ones before. The stage was on the side of the tube with 2 video displays in the back. There was not so much space in the front of the stage cause the tube was only about 12m wide but of cause there was a lot space on the side. The atmosphere of the whole location was very special, it is not usual to have partys in such a big Tunnel. On some ways you could step over to the 2nd Tube with where the toilets and first aid was located. I was drinking a lot and walking around the first time cause i met so many old friends from Hamburg sound was mixed of from very cool trance music by DJ Dean the most famous DJ from Tunnel Club over Hands up Rave to Hardstyle, each dj played about 30minutes and some did a back 2 back set. At 3 it became a bit harder Korsakoff folowed by Marc Acardipane with the Ultimate MC and DJ Paul. Pauls set was a bit soft for him maybe he thought real Hardcore would be too Hard for the German Ravers. When i left the location at about 5:45 there were a lot of people waiting at the wardrobe, later some people reported me they had to take 6 Securitys for keeping the fence protecting the wardrobe.
For the Afterparty we wen´t to the Tunnel Club, about 10min ride by subway,bus or car from the Wallringtunnel. At the entrance was even a big que, and inside DJ Dean was already playing. The Afterparty was free for everybody who has been at the Time Tunnel so the location got crowded soon. All the artists from the Time Tunnel who were still awake came over for the Afterparty, even if it was just for drinking at the Bar. Korsakoff and Luna were playing a nice Hardstyle and Hardcore set from about 8:30 to 10:00. Later the sound changed to the typical Tunnel Style from Hardstyle Hands up and Trance but on Floor 2 Rod Bolts was performing a nice oldschool set followed by some Hardcore from the Joeker and Waveliner. I left the Afterparty with some friends bought a Bratwurst on the Reeperbahn before i got back home.
